Abbi Glines – Sea Breeze #3 – While It Lasts

de16102250Cage is heartbroken after Low and Marcus hooks up and get married. They are happy, and Cage is… just Cage.

He gets in trouble driving and drinkin’, so he is to be taught a lesson hiding away on a farm and working really hard to earn his coach’s trust back.

But will he be able to withstand the temptation in the form of a beautiful girl?

Blurb:
Cage brings his playboy prowess to the countryside as the Sea Breeze hookups continue, from self-published phenomenon Abbi Glines.

Low broke Cage’s heart by getting with Marcus in Because of Low. Cage went into a tailspin that ended in a DUI. In order to salvage his baseball scholarship—the one thing he truly valued besides Low—Cage must take a summer job. At a farm. Away from Sea Breeze. With lots of cows, but no hot girls. Maybe that’s what Cage needs to get back on track.

But wait—there’s that hostile daughter of the farm boss. She’s pretty and occasionally sweet, and there seems to be a lot of sadness and mystery behind her anger. Cage is dying to strip her down—physically and mentally—in the back of the barn. But is he prepared for what will happen afterward?

So. I had high expectations. And did you know this book will be made in to a movie? Yep. I screamed too. Can’t wait for this one.

Anyway, our badboy-playboy Cage made a mistake. A mistake that can cost him his scolarship. If he doesn’t want to screw up his future more than he has to agree with his coach’s demands. He has to work at his brother’s farm. There is only one rule: the boss’s daughter is taboo…

Well, we know how it played out… But hey, the playboy makes an effort to stay away from the girl, who seemingly hates him. In the end, he has to admit he can’t get her out of his head nor his system.

Although Eva keeps serious secrets, she has no room in her heart for another. Or has she? Together they start a flame so dangerous and heart-threatening fling that there’s no room for love and affection. Cage thought he will not settle down with anybody ever, but it seems destiny has it’s own little suprises.

I liked this one, it was humorous, well-written and heavy with layers of emotion. This is an easy read, alhtough you have to guard your heart. If you love Abbi Glines, than I recommend you this book. While this book have a happy ending and closure, this is hardly the end of Cage and Eva’s story, count on another book about them and their love, their obstacles. (Book five in the series: Sometimes it lasts).

Abbi GlinesAbbi Glines is a #1 New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestselling author of the Rosemary Beach, Sea Breeze, Vincent Boys, Field Party and Existence series. She never cooks unless baking during the Christmas holiday counts. She believes in ghosts and has a habit of asking people if their house is haunted before she goes in it. She drinks afternoon tea because she wants to be British but alas she was born in Alabama. When asked how many books she has written she has to stop and count on her fingers. When she’s not locked away writing, she is reading, shopping (major shoe and purse addiction), sneaking off to the movies alone, and listening to the drama in her teenagers lives while making mental notes on the good stuff to use later. Don’t judge.
